License Plate Hole Coverup?
I just took off the license plate holder off my new to me 11' 335i M sport. They have been on there for i'm guessing two years and I was able to get off all of the dirt except these lines that have formed from it being on there for so long and tight.
I have seen the plugs that they sell online but I am having a clear bra put on wednesday and with those protruding a bit, the clear bra won't look right in those spots. I know the clear bra will cover up the faint lines but any suggestions on the holes? I am thinking the clear bra will make them hardly noticeable just seeing what you guys suggest. |

I took mine to a body/paint ship and they repaired the holes and resprayed that portion of the bumper for me. Mine looked much worse than yours do...mine were protruding out and the bumper had paint rubbed off because of the plate bracket.

They are saying that I have to re-spray the whole front bumper..$300 not sure if that is worth it.

Did they say why they couldn't spray partial? Maybe they want to make sure it all blends well..and painting the entire bumper is the easiest way. $300 is not bad at all for an entire bumper. I paid $200 for the partial bumper with repair.

At that price I'd rather save the money and get a whole new mtech bumper....

I have a friend who does car vinyl wrapping and he's going to match it and put something over the holes then I'll have the clear bra put on and it won't be noticeable.

Agreed...my paint matches well on the respray, but the quality is 9/10 instead of 10/10...

I called a few places and they all would have to re-shoot the whole front bumper...$300 is what I was looking at. Showed up at my friends place of business and he gave me a few different whites to see what worked the best. This is what I came up with...I hole punched a few circles out of the vinyl he gave me and they are flush and don't protrude at all compared to the plugs. With the 3M clear bra going on, I don't see them being near as noticeable as they are now. From further away and without being told to look for them, they are almost impossible to notice. Pretty clean i'd say.

You can always get alpine white touch up paint from the dealer to make those spots look less noticeable.

You can also get touch up paint from automotivetouchup.com. Have ordered from them in the past and they match every time.
