Lucas Oil additives

Anyone use the Lucas oil additives that are supposed to make your oil remain in the contact areas? I keep seeing those little gear demos with regular in one, 20/80 mix of Lucas in the other. The mixture stays in the gears a lot better, but not sure how that compares with the synthetic oils.

I put in a bottle of lucas synthetic oil stabilizer into my engine to try to quiet the hydrolic valve tick. Cost me $17, and a was big waste. Got intermitent CEL, for timing over retard and catalic codes. Also engine was sluggish and powerless, and stalled a couple of times. Changed the oil and engine runs strong, no CEL. Lucas did more harm than good, dont put it in.

No reason to mess with that stuff. Maybe on a 1980 olds but not a BMW.

If anyone is interested, look at a product by the name of RS-R Ran-up. Very expensive product that has never received a negative feedback from multiple forums and tests. RS-R is a Japanese company that specializes in suspension tuning. Here in the USA they are based in California and does a lot of drifting events with their company cars. Here is their website : (http://rs-r.com/).

If you're in the socal already, they used to give you free samples and free dyno if you drop by their location. email/call to see if they still do that!

btw, i dont work for them, they don't really even distribute the product so you have to order from them directly. cheers!

Have fun guys!
