I am interested in the answer to this question also. My 2008 E90 has 50K miles on it. Wondering what I need to do as far as fluids. I would prefer to do them myself if possible.

Brake fluids = 2 yrs
Radiator fluids = 4 yrs Power steering = 100K Rear diff = 100K ATF = lifetime, bmw. I changed my @ 87K, cause I plan to keep over 100K miles. dealer changed for me or DIY if you could. |

dealer followed my direction instead of them.
I told them just to drain out as much as possible, 2 quarts left in torque converter, filled, new pan, gasket, set of bolts, mechanic sleeve = $610 out of the door. |

Actually ATF is not lifetime. Check your warranty booklet, it states 100,000 miles. I know, the pan states lifetime, looks like BMW changed their mind.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
