Adaptive Headlight Error after replacing
I recently rear ended someone, busting my left headlight. Despite the headlight being cracked, it still worked with all features including adaptive.
Last week I replaced the headlight with a new aftermarket hella replacement, upon getting it installed I got the adaptive headlight error in the MFD. Had my mechanic see what the error was in the OBD he said there was no power going to the motor. I figured the aftermarket one was defective, so I replaced it with a used factory one. Got that one installed, same problem. My mechanic said to check the fuses and wires to the light. No issues with the wires or fuses. Any ideas what the problem is? I really don't want to have to have the dealer diagnose it

Oh really? That needs to be done even if it is a factory light? I assumed that was only for aftermarket. Thanks for the tip! I will look into that.
