Updated original post with 2 new locations (3 total) provided by Joonsup! Let's keep the list active and dynamic to various parts of northern California!
This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but let's make this a resource thread for those who are interested!

I go to Pacific Hand Carwash on Bascom Ave. Only place I've gone other than AJ's Auto Detail on Coleman Ave.

I didn't even notice until I was showing the car and wash job to a friend later that day. He asked "How did you get this scratch? The car wash?" I know it wasn't there before the second wash and I surely didn't curb my driver's side front rim so I can only assume it was the tire guide at the car wash. |

Hey, thanks for the info. Can you confirm if this is a true laser jet wash? Is there a spinning brush scrubbing wheels? The laser jet wash is 100% high pressure spray and nothing touches your car. I would like your feedback, however. Thanks for everyone's input thus far!

The problem I had was with the tire guide. You have to stop on a sensor to get the car wash working and that sensor has tubular tire guides on either side. The first time I must have lined up the car perfectly, or maybe I scratched the inside of the rim. But the second time I got a quite noticeable scratch on the outside lip of the rim. Beware |

I think the station you went through uses tires guides, as you mentioned. You put the car in neutral, and let the conveyor pull you in. With the laser wash that I'm referring to, you drive your car to a point where the car trips the sensor, and the display screen shows "stop". The touch less lasers begin! Prior to entering the bay, a left, right and middle, powerful jet stream of water sprays your rims and undercarriage.

Coolio! I read reviews of Yelpers complaints, and confirm that the wash was previous damaging customer vehicles. By confirming that they upgrade to Laser Jets is a perfect source!

I wouldn't go to any washes that still adopt wheel mounts or any guides.

There's a Chevron at the corner of Shoreline and Middlefield that is true touchless but it's getting quite beat up.

Just wanted to give an update. The car wash that previously scratched my rims has been completely updated. The stupid tire guide is GONE and now the car wash is finally the 100% touch-less laser wash that is at many other Chevrons.
The car wash I'm talking about is: Chevron 3210 Buskirk Ave Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 The only problem is the price has gone up too. The top of the line wash is now $11 which isn't too bad but I believe it's $3 more than before. |
