OBD Not Communicating for emmisions
Hi all, I did search and saw various posts regarding OBD emissions testing, but nothing that addressed my specific issue. I do have a Vishnu V5 installed on an otherwise stock car, and this is for MA emissions.
When the OBD was connected it failed to make a connection/communication. It did not get far enough to give any status on readiness or anything else. Is this something that could be caused by the V5 being installed, I guess I expected it to atleast get to the point of passing or not. I remember back when I first got the car and registered in CA the tech saying something to the effect that 335's gave them a hard time establishing a connection. I hasn't been tested since then, 2010. I am going to atleast remove the proceed, and drive enough to hopefully set readiness, but not sure that will solve the issue of it not communicating in the first place. Alos I did reset my TPMS prior to going over, not sure if that would be an issue, but it shouldn't prohibit communication. Thanks in advance. |

... and if you have any autoclearing features turned on for codes they must be turned off.. once you have done that you need to drive around for a few days until all your monitors are satisfied.. check that you have no failing monitors and go in for inspection.. if you are catless and don't have a dp fix you will not pass

I'm going to pull the whole unit just to be safe. I was concerned that it wasn't connecting at all. It appears that not being in map zero would cause this, so I'll just play it safe an go back 100% stock, if it doesn't talk then I know I have a problem.

Here is the drive cycle, you can get readiness if you follow it with about 40 minutes of driving.
