Lowering you car W/ Xdrive + Warranty
Questions for everyone...
Curious if lowering my car (with x-drive) will hurt any drivetrain components or the xdrive system... Any of you lowered already with X drive, problems? Warranty: I still have 2 years left on my warranty... Now I know putting coilovers on doesnt void motor warranty but i am curious as to drivetrain... because lowering stresses more on those components? What worries me is I called both local BMW dealerships to get a quote to install my coilovers and neither want anything to do with it. Maybe risk involved? I guess how did you guys swallow the fact your warranty goes buh bye for suspension and probably drivetrain |

You could always keep your old suspension and put it back on if you need to go in for suspension warranty work. Never heard of anyone needing such a thing in the 50k/4yr period though.
There are no issues caused by lowering your car. Enjoy!
