So I changed my oil about 2000 miles ago and i reset the oil interval on idrive using the diy on here. The mileage reset to 13k. the issue im having is after driving 2000 miles the oil change interval still said 13k. Is this normal?

The car's computer calculates oil life based on driving conditions and inputs from the oil condition sensor. It changes the mileage how it sees fit.

I suspect that I will still be changing the oil every 6000 miles or so even if the computers says it doesnt need it

I always go based on time/actual mileage Max 1 year or max 10k miles (optimal i hear is 7500 miles). CBS is a nice toy tho... make it feel high tech tho :P

I've heard its helped to fook a few turbos too

I idle my turbo's before shutdown about 30 sec's to a minute... I also make sure to drive gently as I'm nearing my destination so as not to spool the turbos as much.
