Looking to buy some new wheels

I have been wanting to buy a nice set of wheels for my 09 328i Sedan E90 LCI. I figure that now since it is time to change the RFT's as they have worn out, I might as well buy new wheels along with non RFT's.

First questions is - should I go for 18" or 19" - pro's and con's please?

I am going for a blacked out/murdered look on my Sapphire Metallic Black car. I have never bought any aftermarket wheels ever in my life so all I know is I want something in the budget of $1k to $1200 for the wheels and either matte or glossy black or gun metal in color (or any other dark color in the black palette recommended by you folks here)

Also what are good all season performance tires that I can buy? I like low profile ones - any reco's on what size, etc. would look good with 18" or 19" wheels?

Lastly - should I go for a smaller size at the front and bigger at the back of the car or all 4 same?

Any help/guidance is appreciated!

From my journey with my e90 and going through many looks I must say that the murdered look gets old very fast... 18 vs 19 is a very common questions everyone has, from my experience having multiple sets of both I've liked having 19s more as far as e90s go. The real deciding factor though is whether you're going to lower your car in the future though. In my opinion 19s without a drop looks a little over the top (monster truck like) 18s are much more subtle. As far as daily driving goes 18s are more convenient due to ability to run a larger tire, but I've never had problems with 19s. As far as rims go I'd suggest looking at Forgestars, great quality and looks for the price. Unless you're tracking your car I'd suggest a staggered set up (smaller in front larger in back)

18in wheel setup I'd suggest with out real fender work:

Front: 18x8.5 Tire: 235/40/18
Rear: 18x9.5. Tire: 265/35/18

19in wheel setup I'd suggest with out real fender work:

19x8.5 Tire: 235/35/19
19x9.5 Tire: 265/30/19

Offsets do matter, but most venders on here Carry wheel sizes that fit out cars with ease. When you find a set you like run in through me or another reliable member to make sure everything fits and looks good

I generally will recommend 18s to people that are very sensitive about ride quality or live in areas with poorly kept roads, and 19s for people that are planning on lowering their car, or have other modifications to it.

18 or 19x8.5 ET35/18 or 19x9.5 ET45 will easily fit on your car, with 235 front and 265 rear tires.

I think that 19s suit the size of the car more, but 18s still look great!

That is awesome input! Thanks for the help - going with what you and VMR suggested - I am going to stick to 18" wheels.

Now for the tires - I don't want the all season crap as they tend to be more stickier than say 3 season tires. Any reco's on a good 3 season tire or a summer tire? The weather here in NorCal doesn't get too cold that the roads get iced up and it is warm most of the times

Matte Black would compliment Space Gray nicely, in my opinion!

Forgestar F14s, super strong, lightweight, and look just as good as other wheels with similar styling. Running 18s with PSS and don't believe the BS about bending/cracking them easily because I drive through a Grand Canyon every day on my way to work, I popped off my rear wheels to trim the fender liner and the wheels look just as they did when I got them in the mail except for the road junk.
