It's not much of a wax but will help fill the white spots on you're car

Try "T cut Red" it has a filler it that is red and would fill any spots ... Bad thing is after a few washed you will have to apply more

DONT T cut your car if you value your paintwork, itl look nice initially but after the first wash itl be swirled beyond recognition

But do get them looked at cos if all the paint has come off with the chip theyl start to rust

As for coloured wax, not a real solution as it will need a new application after every wash or after it rains for a while

Just get the stone chips repaired properly

I don think they will be that bad that you will get rust plus its probably the plastic bumper that's worse anyway!

Best cheapest solution is get a proper touch up paint and fill the chips. Dearest solution is to get the area resprayed.

T cut do a wax with no cut properties which is what Kassim was meaning I think, it's coloured and does work sort of, doesn't last much though, used to use it before shows on my old green car.

BMW actually has consistent hard paint compared to other manufactures, and you can get a rather large variation between them. As to stone chips, its the same on mine, its got alot to do with the new waterbased paint EU regulation around 2005, which is better for the trees but softer than previous. And of cause the poor roads we have now doesn't help.

If you're interested on how BMW compares to other major car makers, heres a rough guide:

Audi: Medium to Hard
BMW: Hard
Mercedes: Hard
Seat: Medium
Honda (new): Soft to Very Soft TO VERY VERY SOFT
Mazda (new): Soft
Jaguar: Medium
Vauxhall: Soft to Soft Medium
Ferrari (hand): Medium to Medium Hard
Porsche: Medium
VW: Medium to Medium Hard
Volvo: Medium Hard
Toyota: Soft
Lotus: Medium Hard
Renault: Soft to Hard
Peugeot: Medium
Citroen: Medium Soft to Medium
Alfa: Soft to Very Soft
Fiat: Soft to Very Soft
Ford: Medium

Ye I thought it could be down to water based paints but on a 3 year old car it's disappointing.....

I've tried the coloured wax, not great at giving a good shine and not successful at hiding the chips.

But it did come with a little 'crayon' type thing that you rub over the chip and that worked quite well.

I second that, NEVER EVER use t-cut on your car, its too aggressive and will totally destroy your clearcoat and even paint if you use it enough.

P1 for polish and Collinite 915 for wax. They are not that expensive and last for a long time.

For chips why not just fill the holes in with paint and buff out?
