I have been looking for car wash solution for people who live in apartments. I foun sonmething which i might try

what you guys think?

That thing looks pretty cool, but a bit pricey compared to other options such as waterless washes or rinseless wash. With the Gary Dean method, all you need to invest in is about 15 microfiber towels and some ONR.

Dont like ONR, i dont want to drag dirt under towels using his method.
i follow simple rule.shoot the dirt with pressure washer

Unfortunately, waterless or rinseless wash will not work for all paint system (example: Soft black paint) no matter what method you employ. If you are to buff out the car afterwards then ONR with GDM is a time saver.

As a maintenance wash, I tend to stay away from rinseless if the vehicle is filthy. I looked at the Nomad Mini Washer system a few years back. There are other options available that might be more cost effective.

Just use optimum no rinse. No hose needed. When done properly it won't scratch. All you need is 2 buckets. Warm water. High quality sponge and MF towels. If the car is heavily soiled I would run it to a local power washer for about $3 for a quick rinse.

What I think has nothing to do with where I live.

I think it's more convenient for me to just go to an automated car wash and once a year or every other year have a detailer do a full on once over to the car to get the swirls and whatever else out.

I think that a full body clear bra will make going to an automated car wash not such a big deal at all.

I think I don't like washing cars.

so are you suggesting to cover the entire car with clear bra film and not to worry about washing,getting swirls, scratches?

Yes, that was the point of that comment.

I don't know that I would have called it a "suggestion" as much as an "idea." I hadn't thought it through quite enough to call it a suggestion.

I initially had a clear bra on my entire hood and entire truck. I had that done mainly because my cat likes to sit on those parts of the car. It had nothing to do with protection from other things. But I can see how it would definitely stop swirls in the paint. I haven't had it on long enough and been through enough car washes to say what impact car washes have on it.

I had the car detailed before it was installed so I could make sure all the swirls were gone and any impurities that were in the paint didn't just sit there festering below the bra after it was installed.

After I'd seen how well it worked with the cat's dirty paws hopping on and off of it, I went back and had the installer put it on the hood too. I can tell you I'm not worried any more about acid rain and bird droppings.

I probably won't have the sides done, but I can see how it could be beneficial. I would think the newer the car, the more value one will get from doing the whole car, especially if one is of a mind to keep the car for a long time. I doubt I'd do a whole car if I only were planning to keep it for two or three years longer.

One thing's certain, with a clear bra on the whole car, you really wouldn't have to wash the thing until you couldn't stand how it looks. I think even then, a good blast with a pressure washer would be enough to get by for just tooling around doing life's little chores like going to work or shopping.

As for waxing, I don't, but I'm told you can if you want to. This stuff is what was recommended to me: http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/auto.html . I have it; I haven't used it.
