Which Bucket Seats?
I want to play about with my interior.
I am thinking about have a full retrim. But i want to replace my front seats with folding bucket seats... something similar to the pic below in terms of style. But i desperately want to retain all the stock features... electric seats, ability to move it up and down, fold the rear forward to allow passenger in the back, and importantly... Heated Seats. Is this possible? ![]() |

If you switch to the recaro sportster cs (pictured above) they are now offered with a bunch of options. You can pick: leather, heated, foldable (E92 option), airbag, slide able. If you switch out your stock seats, you wont be able to move the seat up and down with a switch. You'll have to unbolt the seat and move it higher/lower on the side mounts.

you can BMW Performance seats which are a nicer version of the sportster. They sell a wiring harness so you can retain your electric seat adjustments

Thanks for all the replies guys
Firstly... Price is an issue. I do not car about the finish, as i WILL be having the seats retrimmed I do not track the car, so it is purely cosmetic. It is my daily so i do not want anything overly tight and something fairly comfortable/adjustable as i do occasionally do the longer trips. Weight saving is not essential, as long as i am not gaining weight. This is purely cosmetic in my case. They can be cheaper looking seats as they will be retrimmed and any branding will be removed. By the sounds of it... Maintaining all the features of the original seat is going to be next to impossible, or very expensive...??? |

if i was to find some seats from say an Audi, which are heated, have all the same functions as our own... could they technically be retrofitted into our cars? |

Hmmmm... im beginning to think this is too much effort.
Thanks for the help everyone. I think i am just going to have my front seats played with, such as cutting and messing with the bolsters to give the desired look, and retrim. |

Sorry to thread jack, but I was reading on the OEM bmw perf chairs and EAS has a heating and electric harness for it. Does that mean it is adjustable, electronically, to slide back and forth?

At the moment... i am contemplating whether or not i can make some E36 vader seats work. They look the nuts, and i can most probably retain the electric functions as well as the heated seats
