Nav gives conflicting info & moving address book item

Three problems. I think. Anyone had similar experiences?

First is that I set a destination of Conway, NH (USA) and it tried to get me to the middle of a forest where there are no roads. It was maybe 5 miles off reality.

Second is that on the way I'm appraoching an intersection where the road choices were straight ahead or a left turn. The map display said turn left, the arrow display and the voice said turn right. There was no road on the right! Managed to photograph this one, so I'll try posting the photos later.

Third problem is like this. I set an entry into the address book by choosing "current location". Now if I choose this entry, it tries to take me to loacation several miles closer than the real one. When I pass that suggested destination point, it revises its idea of where I want to go and chooses a new one a mile or so down the road. When I get there, it moves the carrot out of reach again, and so on. Eventually, the position of the destination is NEAR the real location and when I get there it claims victory ("You have arrived").

Odd stuff. Sounds like our NAV when we first took delivery in Spartanburg. It was real screwy during the 5 minute drive from the delivery center to the museum, and i planned to take it back after the tour for the techs to look at it (I was pre-occupied during the tour, to say the least). Oddly, when we got back in the car, it had locked on correctly and we've never had another problem (5000 miles later).

Have you tried to enter your home address and then to see how far off (in miles) the system says you are when you are siting in your driveway? Is this always consistent, or does it vary?

Unfortunately, I think this is something for the dealer. sounds like the GPS lock is off.

It is not consistent. It knows other deestinations including "home" perfectly, and displays position accurately (most of the time)
