jesus this forum gets way to out of hand, people get so upset an touchy about what tune they run. all he did was a comparison video of his pro tune vs OTS New vishnu flash. he wasnt trying to put a stick in anyones ass just a simple video that i have ALWAYS seen BuraQ do because he likes to document and share his experiences.

fanboy stupidity at its finest

Then to top that off, how much more time you need to invest in tuning it out just for your specific car so you can maximize the performance.

The true limiting factor to our cars is the mods we select, not the tune.

It's only a matter of time before we start seeing some good numbers from the OFT guys. It will be fun to say the least. Never get tired of the friendly competition.

What I do get tired of is listing to the BS from the people who don't do anything on this form but yet want to flame and pass judgement as if they really have an opinion. You want to have an opinion, get out their and race like we do and try multiple tunes. At the end of the day, it will change your opinion and you won't be as quick to flame another tune or tuner.

Keep the video's rolling bro... Never get tired of watching those stupid quick launches. That's got to be the best feeling in the world when she hooks up and pulls car lengths on the comp.
nice post. agreed, completely.

too bad shiv's reputation is negative on this forum; he really does know engine tuning better than most others around the n54.

just wanted to clear up some misinformation on your end.
nice. someone is keeping things honest here, i appreciate it, @themyst

hey @turbosid,

i wouldn't want e85 maps if i had a DCT, at least from a piggyback. the DCT receives communication regarding torque from the DME; piggybacks mask that, so the DCT doesn't know how much torque to account for. that's why for a DCT, i'd want a flash tune. @shiv@vishnu has DCT maps for the OpenFlash tablet; i think that's a safer way to run your car

Agreed. in the beginning shiv was saying it wouldn't handle the tq when clearly it can. Then when I found out about the piggyback limitation I dropped it and started researching flashes.

piggybacks and DCT do not mix tbh. same reason why the Procede workaround was to drop boost completely during an upshift event to prevent slippage and/or issues. JB4 uses a similar workaround.

for DCT, flash tune is the only way to go.

FWIW, on DTC equipped cars, we recommend our back-end flash to go along with the Procede. With it, you don't have to drop boost between gears because the TCU sees actual (or close to it) torque and clamps the clutch packs with more pressure. The transmission still has its limitations though. It's not as torque-proof as either the 6AT or 6MT. But it's limits are certainly higher than what we originally believed.

So do you need a candidate DCT 335is ? I have my CC to put down as collateral if TurboSid doesn't deliver results.

I am even willing to teach him how I use my LC VIP style. All I am saying is to reach out to him lets put the OFT OTS maps on the benchmark. You will get some feedback, a value for your customers and those in doubt. They will get to see a review from a competitor and a loyal customer's side.

If you need my credentials of liability of proof I got that to, Dinan, RENNtech, PTF, aFe, cP-e, and more to come, probably even you

Will we race, hell yea, but I will make sure to tone it down on the same level E30 vs E30, logs, vids, everything. High quality HD, sh*t if I can put it in 3D I will do that to.

Think about it

Thanks BuraQ but, as of friday, we have a FBO 335is DCT test car. And it is local to us which makes things so much easier. Owner a Cobb AP, then went for our back-end Openflash/Procede combo.

the BT cable can't do that either; Cobb still reigns supreme in that regard.
Yes, but time will change that. Cobb didn't log everything when they released.

I don't mind paying for my tunes. I prefer it rather than be obligated to supply numbers and performance figures. I was one of the first in line for JB3 and I was one of the first to get the procede v2 (installed by shiv himself). I just don't have the same passion for the platform as I had then.

Now days I just want a solid tune and to keep up with the latest bolt-ons. E85 seems enticing to add that little bit of power when I like to have fun with the car so thats why I'm willing to try it out. But it seems like you have to filter through so much bullshit these days to figure out whats fact and whats fluff and I don't have time to go through it all.

Stage 1 OFT here. I have no issues with this vid at all. Good to know what the results are and it's no big deal. He's paid more to go faster. Such is the way of modding.

BuraQ did you notice a big difference between the e40 and the e50 tune?

Obsolutely, when IAT's are low enough I will spin my rears in 2nd into 3rd gear on WOT and i have 275 PSS tires on with less than 30 PSI in them.

On E40 my tires had no probelm gripping
