Aux wont work

Ok,

so i just bought an '06 bmw 2.0 and its got a port for aux in the center console. But on my original cd player i cant find any AUX source option at all ?

Its almost like theres no connection between my Center Console and the cd player ?

Any suggestions to what the problem might be, or even how i can fix this ?

thanks

Which car is it? In E60 and E90 without MULF 4 pin connection goes to CIC/CCC/Radio, 4 pin connector. In MULF it goes all the way back to the boot in MULF and in CIC/COMBOX it goes to back again but to COMBOX.

Is this AUX port or AUX-USB? Connected anywhere at all? If no connection you can wire it yourself. If wired then you need to enable in coding.

What do you have Professional HU or Business HU?

If you have AUX but don't have it on the HU, the HU was probably upgraded to Professional which didn't have AUX coded.

In the UK, BMW charges about £300 for this. (They say they do a "full system upgrade on it's firmware" what ever that is!)

Ive got business HU, and its only AUX no Usb ports....
I read an article about the problem and it seems like i can buy an usual minijack cable, cut it and use it to connect the AUX port to the HU.
But i wanna be sure thats the problem before i dissensamble the whole freakin cockpit :P
