265 Goodyear or 275 Falkens on a 10 inch wheel?
Hi,
I'm planning on getting some tires for my new 8.5/10" rims but I'm a little unsure of the dimensions. Originally I was thinking about 265/30/19 Falkens for the rear but from what I have gathered these are narrower than most brands. I don't want a streched look. So should I get some 265 Goodyears instead or maybe 275 Falkens? The wheels have ET37 and will be mounted on an E92. If I get Goodyears, should I run 225s in front instead of 235 Falkens...? I'm confused. Why can't 265 be 265? Any thoughts appreciated. |

Our E92 test car we did our 19x10 +38 VB3 debut had 265/30/19 General UHP's mounted with very slight rubbing issues over large bumps. The car was lowered with no fender rolling done to the car.
If you are looking to stay away from rubbing issues, 265's a better bet if you are ok with a slightly stretched look on the Falkens. Here is a shot of the sidewall. Generals run a bit square so the stretch was not very noticeable at all. -Charles@VMRWheels

I had 275 Falkens on the rear of my E93 before and they didn't rub because they are more round shouldered. When I switched to PS2 and I have to go down to 265 because the PS2s are more square shouldered.

If you don't want a stretched look, go with 275. However, you'll likely have to roll your fenders. I have 265 Falkens on 10" wheels and they definitely look stretched.

I was thinking of getting some Falken's too, so just to sort of piggy-back off of the OP's question, will 265/30/19 Falkens look stretched on a 19x9.5 wheel? I hate the stretched look.

If you want to run a 275 wheel in the back on a 19x10 wheel on an E93, what would work without rubbing.. Goodyear F1 assymetric or Nitto Invo. Assume a 37 offset and no drop. Trying to get the most coverage on the wheel without rolling fender

A 275 falken on a 10" would be very square as stated. Whether it will rub or not...it's to close to be certain, but I would say your pretty safe.

Neither of those sizes are really stretched on the wheel. A 275 will fill up the wheel more than a 265 though.
