Assuming V2 then when you start the car you press on the gas to achieve a certain RPM. Default is apparently going to be set at 1800 RPM which is not much higher than my car runs without any pedal blip but you can set it from 0~????.

This is set up from the software on your laptop when connected to the serial interface. In theory you only need to set it once unless ou change you mind.

IMHO better than a switch as there are no wires, others however disagree.

There is a problem with your car's idle.

I would like to see upon start

Stock idle= Stock map
1800 blip= Map one
2500 blip= Map two

that would be awesome.

A physical map switcher was never released for the PROcede. It was in the original plans as a remote control or such but never released. Now they're coming out with the v2 blip / rev thing.

+1

Map switching via a switch was implemented with Shiv's Xede product but not the current Procede v1.X product.

Since V2 isn't out (except 4 people) and will have the first switchable map:

Relevance much?
