Favorite Driving Roads

I'm curious to see if anyone knows of some hidden gems in the area for a nice cruise or even just a little stretch of road you go out of your way to take on the way home from work. This is for anyone in the area, try to be helpful in pointing out your route and why you like it.

For example, Rt. 15 near the NY state line is one of my favorites late at night when it can be enjoyed on your own. Rt. 8 north of the valley towards Torrington is also fun and has some beautiful views in my opinion.

What else has everyone got to share?

rt 15 is the merritt right? That road is great! I'd say any of the roads up in harriman are some of my favorites (especially the ones they've been re-paving), as well as storm king highway.
