Quiafe LSD...then address your suspension.

I did a set of KW Series 1 and then engine mods. When I started looking into further suspension mods, I quickly found out that the open differential was a weak link. I did a Quaife differential about 2 years ago, and I haven't bothered with any other suspension changes. I have been using Michelin Pilot Supersports, and the handling is superb! Haven't seen the traction control lights come on since the Quaife was added, used to look like flashing christmas lights prior to the change on tight mountain roads.

For me personally, an LSD holds little value for my regular daily driving.
A good set of tires is where I would start and then I would go for coilovers.

I have Michelin PSS now and I had them before I put my OS Giken TCD LSD. 285s on the rear. Grip is ALWAYS an issue and I don't even launch the car. I had to shift at around 3500 rpms from 1st to 2nd to keep the back end from sliding hopelessly out of control. With the LSD, I can push it harder and when the rear end eventually breaks loose, its very predictable and in the expected direction.

First gear is hopeless
![]() If traction is the issue, tires should be the first thing considered.
