EBC redstuff with OEM rotors any problems?
It's almost time to change my pads and I've been searching for some aftermarket brands. So far I've been leaning to akebono brake pads or ebc redstuff, but I'll change my rotors to oem ones. However, I read in the website the redstuff pads are best suitable with ebc rotors. Have any of you guys have ebc pads with oem rotors had any problems? Or should I just go for akebono? thanks in advance

I recently got the Akebono pads and have been very pleased with the little amount of dust they have given off.
I got Zimmerman rotors, so I can't comment on how other rotor brands might interact with the Akebono pads. Got rotors, pads & sensor wire from Pelican Parts for about $240 shipped. This was for rear brakes, not sure if front brakes would be slightly more. good luck |

I would however be wary that dealerships recommend changing the rotors each time you change the pads. Some say you can go without, but I would at least check and make sure that your rotors have enough life left if you plan to not change them. They also cannot be "turned" like traditional rotors.
