Tuning in Mass or New England ?

Hey Guys anyone know a solid tuner in Mass or the New England area?

I know about Brenn but I have heard a couple of things that make me a bit reluctant bring my car there. Obviously I take everything with a grain of Salt but would like some other options.

Turner Motorsports does not Tune. I was just there. No Dyno Tuning unfortunately. If they did they would absolutely have my business. Impressive shop and knowledge.

Anyone in CT or RI Even NH that does actual Dyno Tuning for our cars? Brenn Can't be the only one.

I don't see anything wrong with going to Bren but Alex at Granite State Dyno is the only other tuner i would bring my car to..

Thanks for the input. I personally have no experience with Bren Tuning. I have heard a few things that have mildly put me off, all taken with a grain of salt that I wont repeat here.

I just want to know what options are out there as do others. I use to deal with DSG when I had my STi but they are no more..... its too bad because they were great.

well every shop is going to have their share of bad reviews.. no one is immune.. I used to go to DSG a lot too.. Alex & Bill are great guys and always did good work for me but a lot of people didn't agree before they closed shop. If you like Matt's tuning I think he is still doing it on the side..I bumped into him at the BMW Concours at Larz last week. I think Alex is a better tuner however.

Like Slaya lee said. Every business has two sides.

What are you running for tuning?

Your exactly right. Everyshop always has something no matter where you go. Good to know about the DSG guys hope they are doing well.

Right now I just have a stage 1+FMIC Cobb flash, but will be installing Downpipes and a new charge pipe. Just want a solid stage 2 tune for street and a little track. maybe 100+ octane map but we'll see

Bren did a tune for my 2011 335xi and I was very happy with the results and the service.

That's excellent to hear. Especially the part about service. The troubling things about tuning is standing behind the tune. Anyone who has ever had their car tuned knows that it's usually not a one and done type scenario. It usually takes a few trips to find the balance between being able to go WOT and your average everyday mid throttle driving. I have had a past experience where the tune was done, but the car never ran "great" and all additional tuning was chargeable. Not naming them but this was for an STi some years ago.

I'm looking for a tuner that will work with someone and check the tune a few times within reason to be able to get not only power but smooth driveabilty. Past that i think its really the customer responsibility to engage the tuner and see how they will work with them and not just give you an off the shelf map.

The point of this thread was to see who else out there has experience with BMW and right now it looks like only 2 in New England.
NHDyno and Brenn..... Anyone else have any good experiences with tuners in NE

I know there are others in out there, like Kaizen, who might be able to tune the N54 platform. However, I have been getting tuned by Bren for the last 3 years now with great results and on different cars. My current car is FBO and I made 500TQ/410AWHP on 93 Octane. Car Feels amazing, I haven't gotten any codes either.
I have heard criticisms from others about Bren not standing behind his work.
I haven't found this to be the case. If you're having trouble and you send him your logs he can usually dial in the tune based on the log feedback, however if your issue is mechanical, which is sometimes the case, there isn't much he can do.
Owning a boosted car is a double edged sword. When you have a fast car you have to pay to play, part of that is the tuning and the maintenance.
