My car doesn't have cruise control at all and i have a bmw e90 from 2005 325I.

Can some one maybe give me the part numbers i need if i want to build in active cruise controle?

I already got his parts

ACC-Sensor - 66316777883 - $2,926.71 (USA MSRP)
Steering Column Switch Cluster - 61319123057 + 61319110888? - $716.42 + $131.75 (USA MSRP)

what does this do? Longitudinal dynamic module - 66316775949 - $424.41 (USA MSRP

And also maybe the part numbers of the kabel and how to build it in schema?

with the price of what you will pay doesnt it make more sense to just sell your car and buy one with normal cruise or active already fitted?

i got the ACC-Sensor - 66316777883 for 150 euro
i got the Steering Column Switch Cluster for 100 euro

so the most expensief part that is the acc sensor i got for cheap now i need to see what i need more so i can look. So i think i can add the acc cruise control for cheap. But i need to know what the part numbers are for the kabel?

I am not sure what the part numbers are but one thing i do know is that you can't just plug it in and expect it to just work. You will have to take the car to the dealer to have the system programed.

i recently asked about this at my local stealer and they said it wasnt possible .. i have cruise fitted ( the type that applies the brakes if you resume and you are going faster than the set speed)<<< not sure if they all do that.

I just wanted to upgrade to the active part for which i assumed would only need the radar bit that goes on the front .. plug it in and enable it on the ECU .. not as if you are retro fitting the TV part which needs parts all over the car

Is there a definitive answer on this question ??

150 euro for a 3000$ part? you either bought a shell of the module, or it was stolen.

Not gonna judge this one either way but 150 euro probably isn't a bad price .. imagine going to a breakers yard seeing a ACC system on a car that about to be crushed and offering money for it.

ACC systems are like rocking horse doodahh. It's gonna be hard for these breakers yards to keep up to date with trim levels and options , most of the time these guys don't know what they got and to be fair..rarely care. Seats, engine & lenses are the biggies .. not bothered about a small box , some cables and an indicator stalk !

How can you still the parts as they are in the car? you need to still the hole car to get the parts!!! never heard of ebay? But still i have ask around and i no bmw say that there is a retrofit for cruise control but if you already got dcc you can upgrade maybe easy to acc because you already got the cables on your car for it. I think the one with dcc that wants to acc its more possible to from no cruise control to cruise control in a bmw e90 325I european model.

355DEE, Did you manage to get ACC retrofitted in the end. I have the sam e problem. I have the DCC (breaks downhill) and remember reading somewhere that it was possible to have the function retrofitted with the ACC sensor and some coding as we already have the break control module for the DCC. Please let me know either way.

Back then I asked bmw if it could be retrofitted, they said no one could do it because the whole car needed coding and the VO needed changing. It kinda shut me up. I now know that this not a difficult task to do but my interest waned in the time since

I'm still interested in at least trying to do this as coding and flashing modules isn't too difficult, what is is getting hold of the parts!

Need to cross reference a dcc VO with one with acc fitted to find out what's needed. I have a feeling a new instrument cluster is required too as well as the stalk.
To find all this stuff cheap is not going to be easy. Only way I see this happening is if you have access to a smashed up car with this option fitted. Seeing that hardly anyone spec'd up this option due to the initial price makes it all that much rarer

I know of several installations of ACC here in Denmark.
I'm currently planning a LCI conversion of the front of my E91. And in that I plan for retrofitting the ACC option. Shouldn't be that big a deal with the right parts at hand.

Even if a dealer claims that a retrofit is impossible that is often not the case. I have coded a few "impossible" retrofits. The problem is the dealer's software is made to be as simple to use as possible an its great for coding module replacements that the car was built with but not so great for retrofitting at times. They do not use the expert tools used at the factory which require some computer literacy. If you're having trouble with retrofit coding, start a thread or search the coding section and a number of us will offer to help either in person or remotely.
