Cobb AP extra functions...
Probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway.
Does the Cobb AP have the same functions as a Bav Tech cable? Like can it not only read codes, but also BMW specific codes? What about reset adaptations? And is there anything I am leaving out? Thanks. |

I'm not familiar with all of the BT features but at this time, I don't think they have datalogging down as well as Cobb. I'm sure in the future, they will.
You can reset adaptions. The only thing the Cobb can't really do is read logs after recording on the AP. You have to transfer from the AP to your laptop. The V3 AP will let you monitor up to 6 different functions at once which is going to be very nice! |

im not exactly sure what the cobb adaptation actually resets. When i reset each adaptation individually thru INPA its a totally different experience. I get DSC lights, throttle all over the place and other things that make me know that the adaption was reset and the car needs to calibrate again. In cobb I dont get anything different. Would be interesting to know what paramaters the cobb resets b/c I dont think its all of them.

From my experience Cobb does not reset adaptions unless it is done when changing maps. Otherwise all the AP does is datalog, read and clear codes, map switching, and live data feed. The BT cable does basically they same thing along with resetting adaptions and reading each module.
