DPF issues... Opinions on DIS Figures??

Hello guys,

So had the car for about 2 months now, driving tonight and the yellow particle filter warning flashed up on iDrive.

After reading some comments on here I took it out a good run, about 80 miles.

Came home and loaded up DIS and this is what it's saying... Do the figures look ok?

Cleared the fault code but I've been doing quite a bit of driving around town recently and short journeys so hopefully this will sort it out.

Cheers,
Matthew

Whats your exhaust gas back pressure @ idle, 2 k revs and full throttle? Theres a test on the dis for this and it runs through the tests automatically, bar the last WOT test. Whilst testing it gives the max permissible value

To me it's in need ofa regeneration as they above there Max value for that given range. I'm sure you can force a regen using inpa

I took it a run last night and the systems saying it regened 8miles ago... Think this is wrong and I should force a regen instead?

As above - these figures are over the maximum allowed and therefore likely to be the cause of the yellow light. It may require a few regens to burn off the soot to a level significantly below maximum. You can trigger a regen ising DIS but I don't think you can using INPA.

Try triggering a few regens over the next couple of weeks and test again.

Interesting that the maximum allowed backpressure on your car is significantly lower than on mine

Will do guys... Took it another run today and no sign of the warning so hopefully it's just needing a good clear out but I'll keep an eye on it...

Cheers again

Interesting - I thought the force regen option was one of those in the screenshot you posted. On that screen I don't get the "second last", "third last" regen but I do get the option to trigger a regen. I think our cars have some different options in DIS

I found it mate... It's on the screen that tells you the values of the pressure when you do the pressure test.

Just as I went to do it the laptop cut out so I'll need to give it a go tomorrow but I'll let use know how I get on... Hopefully this will sort it out..!!
