Here's the DIY guide: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=531296
If you have an older car, like mine, it'll be missing that second white piece to actuate the button, so you'll have to fabricate one. I managed to do it with legos. Sounds ghetto, sure, but you never see it as it's hidden in the assembly, and it's been working flawlessly for the past several years. Pushing the button with the legos inside feels and springs back exactly the same as the front fog button!

Yep. If you're missing that second white piece, just take the other one out and do as a good of a job recreating it as you can with whatever you have lying around. For me it was legos. If you wanted to do it a bit more elegantly, it would be very easy to make a two-piece mold of it using clay from a craft store, then after baking the mold fill it with either epoxy or hot glue and you've got a good enough copy of the piece to use.

As much as I want to say it wasn't true, the majority of plates were MA. The ride home was especially frustrating...people just can't drive!! George

I find the MA drivers the worst when it comes to leaving the left lane open. And they are also the most likely to rage at you when you flash your lights or give them other hints to move over.
NH seem to be the most aware drivers of the NE bunch. At least from my observations. |

I agree, I had a bad with with CT plates, but it is just about everyone around here, no one gives a shit if they are screwing up traffic!

Enabling your rear fogs and using them to 'flash" your brake lights may feel good for a while, but I think you'll find a few nutcases who will ramp up their road rage instantaneously. Good luck with that.

Euro standard???
Occasionally I get someone whom understands the euro standard of turning on your left blinker when you are behind them... but usually I need to use my foot and a quick pass on the right. I'm guilty of staying in the left lane... but I get over at the first chance if someone wants to pass. I expect them to show me they want to pass though by either a blinker or by tailing me.
I am blind in my left eye and I prefer not to have anyone in my left blind spot... I have to use extra caution merging from the right. I hate when I get over and someone just hangs in there and doesn't have the courtesy to pass me by at least walking speed. |

Lol this is too funny.
So I'm a Californian driver but I'm studying in Boston and I generally find most of the north east to be very aggressive with their driving style. That being said I just got back from NYC and had one of the best cruises ever with a grey 328xi with ny plates. Nonetheless great thread. |

Metropolitan
I've driven all over the US and parts of Canada... it doesn't matter where you are. If its a metropolitan area then the driving is fairly aggressive.
The denser the normal traffic the more aggressive the drivers get. |

I've been doing it for years without incident.
