Powder coated exhaust tip.
I have been thinking about buying the black chrome tip from the sport plus when my brother mentioned getting it powder coated. He said he would get his done first as his needed tidying up and he was going to buy a new one anyway. He chose to get it done in satin black to match his front grills and wheels, all for the princely sum of 10 pounds ended up with this.
This is what it looks like on the car For a tenner I don't think you can go wrong, he asked the person doing the powder coating if it would be ok with the heat and he seemed to think it would and from what I have been reading on the inter web it should be. Even if it needs doing again after a year you could get it done four times and still only have spent what you would have for a new tip. So it gets a big from me, now do I go satin black to match my wheels or gloss black to match my grills and trim on the car For good measure I will post a few pics of his car Now with satin black wheels Cheers, Ben. |

If the wheels and grills were still silver/chrome then I can see what you mean, but kind of got a de-chromed theme going on so thought why not, wing mirrors are now black as well

Wonder if this is the same across all the ranges, so a 330/325d tip could be interchangeable also,
anyone with a standard 330d exhaust system able to take a look |

The stainless steel tips on my 330d are an interference fit on the exhaust pipes. They pull off with a bit of a tug

Looking at pics on ebay the 330d back box has 2 outlets each with a tailpipe and the 320d has a completely different design 1 oval pipe coming out the back so no hope unfortunately
