Another Coding breakthrough in GVA.... DVD IN MOTION !!!!!
well guys, i know many of you have been requesting DVD-in-motion and I've turned it down in the past unfortunately because I did not want to code something on your car that i have not attempted yet.
well, its summer, and i finally got my lazy ass around to enable DVD-in-motion on my car, (not that I need it, but its for you guys). Its not a breakthrough in coding, but a breakthrough for me and a first in GVA. I just wanted to share with you guys because I'm quite happy at my work haha Although i must say, its more for the passengers while you drive, but i guess you can play live concert DVD's too. This is for the new gen 2009+ Idrive (CIC) photo by gaifaun, on Flickr

Would you be able to code the dash to show actual rev counter? The tech menu on the m3 can be made to show actual engine rev but i was just wondering if theres another way to do this.

Josh I don't quite get what you mean with the rev counter. you want to display rpm's on the idrive screen? I doubt there are ways to code that.

just curious because altho the v8 rev to 8600, the rev gauge is rip off from the m5 which only goes to 8250, so the computer makes adjustment *8250 redline physical position = 8600rpm at the engine* applies only to S65B40 i want to see if it could be done permanently to display rev, its really useful instead of guessing and hitting fuel cut off a bit over 8600

and from all the pics of "m3 dash" from google, it shows a redline just slightly under the 8500rpm mark.... meaning redline at 8400rpm.............
