I saw someone who didn't have the metal piece inside headlight what does this do just so u don't look at bulb directly? Can I take mine out?

I dont know what it does, but you can pull it out

hey,
the last time around I changed the bulbs and found that the metal piece is actually inside the fitment of the case, wonder how you can cut it out,

I took mine out 2 screws holding it in really easy lol
