How much rwhp is head porting with on the N54?

I'm FBO soon to add meth with RB turbos.
I don't know if there's any dyno proof on what p&p heads can do but what do you all think a car with my mods would gain?
30/30?

This is the only case I have seen with a ported head.

I wouldn't waste money on that, personally. Historically even on say a Chevy small block you may gain 10-15 HP from a port and polish alone. Not worth it on this platform when you got turbo's to play with. That's my .02. The weakest link is the turbo's. If you are stuck with only getting RB's and not moving any further then sure you may be able to squeeze out another 20 or so HP considering this car is boosted.

IMO not even close to worth the cost involved, like Jeff said the turbos are the restriction, the head flows fine. Perhaps worth it if you’re shooting for huge power, but short of that there are better ways to spend money.

The reality is there is a lot of labor involved to pull the heads. Then there is the labor involved to send them out for porting. Then there is the potential down time. If the porting is done locally it may be done in about a week or so if they know what they are doing. If you have to send them out you have the down time of shipping the heads and the turn around time. Not to mention all the labor to install everything back. Then after that you hope to maybe find 20WHP maybe 30?

Shoot, I would just get a bigger turbo. Pulling heads is a pain. I'm doing it now on my LS7.

However, if none of that matters, go for it. Do a before and after dyno and hopefully you can atleast answer the questions for future prospects. However, for 20 HP I'd sooner crank up the boost and run race gas if you are itching for more power. You would atleast find another 20 in race gas if not more.

I'm plenty happy with the power. Was just looking at other possibilities.
I think dropping 100lbs off the car should be my new goal. Braille battery is only 19lbs I think

+1 what the others have said. 550whp on RBs was mainly due to high boost and good turbos. There are no dynos that would differ by the ported vs stock head only for having an accurate comparison. The stock frame turbos are the limit and not the head. The stock head has been flowing well enough for 700+whp. If you could get it done cheap, you could always do us a favor by confirming our thoughts

Just providing a link have no personal expierence with them.

What you need to consider is when you go with a lightweight battery make sure you understand in some cases these are intended for pure racing purposes and not daily driving (radio, headlights, a/c, heated seats, etc.).
