"Side/daytime lights faulty"
left angel eye light is out I am getting this error, my BMW is 2007 E93 and BMW says its not covered under premium warranty. I am not sure if that is true but the guy wanted $250 to replace the left hand side.
I nearly had a heart attack needless to say, is it possible to do myself? and if so would the error code automatically clear? I am quite cluey with computers, ive worked at IT Support at my uni for 7 years now. |

Absolutely and you should be able to buy it at your FLAPS, the bulb is a H8. The manual actually shows you how to get access to it, it helps if you have girl hands. Only gotcha is that you must not touch the glass of the bulb with your bare hands otherwise you have to clean it with rubbing alcohol and start over - the oil from your fingers will make a hot spot and cause it to fail quickly. I've never had a bulb failure code not self clear after replacing the affected bulb.
I replaced one of mine not long after I got the car, I think it was something like $10 (US) from CarQuest and took less than 15 minutes to replace. $250 is extortion - I would pay no more than $50 to have someone do it for you. |

Sadly, in my experience, at least one dealership local to me apparently treats you well and professionally but will just throw out eye-watering prices for stuff and then when you check them online they're actually higher than the already high BMW list price (by looking at realoem or Tischer's web site) and I think they're doubling the book time for their labor...

guys sorry to bump this old thread. ive finally had some free time to put aside and do this but I can't find a decent brand.
I ebay to find this; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-Pair-Xe...286142c&_uhb=1 its not even a proper brand name. I was hoping for something like phillips cool white or something. I don't want to skimp out and buy a cheap ass one thatll burn out again soon. I know it's hard to find via aussie sellers, but i don't mind importing it if need be. Would there ne any issues regarding that dude to RHS/LHS driving |
