Check Engine/ LIMP Mode

Whats up everyone, on my way to work this morning, car suddenly went into limp mode and check engine light came on, i work at a dealer so when i got to work i read the code, coming up with a P0365 code, camshaft position sensor. Im covered under CPO and maintenance package so is this something that would be covered and is it something that i shouldn't be driving the car?

get it in to be looked at immediately. I would not drive around with the Cam position sensor not working properly. I believe there's a Cam position sensors for exhaust and intake and are not that hard to replace. Price is another issue.

thanks for the reply, took it to my local dealer yesterday, they told me its a somewhat common problem on my model and they will replace it under warranty, however she said last time they did it on a car, it came back a week later with a fault code for the intake sensor, so just hangin out in the 2014 5 series loaner for now lol

I know the VANOS Intake and Exhaust Solenoids can throw accompanying codes when one is replaced, but I did not know the cam position sensor can as well.

BTW, you may want to have the Vanos Solenoids cleaned as well....that's another common, but easily fixable, issue with the N54
