No more style 159s. New wheels

Figured I'd share with locals. Still a little unsure if made correct decision on size tire and wheel combo. I made it work though....I think

Decided on Alzor style 716 from ECS Tuning 18x9 et40 wrapped them with General GMax as-03 235/40/18

I had style 159s so I previously bought spacers 15mm front / 20mm rear

I left spacers on to get more flush look. 15mm up front is too much. So looking for a 10mm soon. I was hitting strut up front without spacer

Keep in mind I have an XI so my tire size was limited unless went staggered. It's not the "square look" wheel/tire. Volcano look a little but it's hardly noticeable

So what do u think? For $400 wheels i figured why not. And ditching run flats is a world of difference

These are non staggered
They have staggered setup as well

I'd do some research. Lots of options with wheel sizes offsets and tires. For XI cars most important is keeping your rolling diameter the same

Can you explain that a little? I've never put a new set of wheel on before.

Should I be getting the ET35 or ET40's on my XI? Do I need spacers if I do either or can I buy one, slap some tires on them, mount them, and be done?

Thanks so much

You can run staggared with no issues. I do on XI. as long as the rolling height is within a certain percentage, your good. The width does not matter. Stick with 235/35/19s and 265/30/19s and you're good. 18s i'm not sure of the best size. i think its within 1% difference f/r

OEM comes staggered also from BMW, on the sports package.

I'm debating selling my wheels, M359s matte black in 19s.

Considering a square set is the same price is there any advantage to running staggered? Or should I just get the 18' ET35 Square and put them on?

If you have questions like this go on the 'wheel tire forum'. So knowledgeable vendors and owners there. They should help you with all your questions regarding fitment and styles too

A quick search online will yield tons of results as well. Good luck
