can someone explain to me e90 pre lci halogen/xenon to lci halogen/xenon
Ok i need bit of clarification here so i can ascertain what route will be most beneficial for me.
First of i don't want aftermarket lights like depo as apparently on the e90 versions the light output isn't as good and i need the light output I currently have pre lci halogen headlamps. I would like xenons. Now from what i can see i have a few options. 1. buy a set of pre lci xenon headlamps whenever they become available. 2. Buy a set of lci xenon headlamps. 3. Retro fit oem style projectors inside my current headlamp etc etc and get it all working like an oem system would. Now with option 1 and 2, i appreciate there is obviously more to it than plug and play so what exactly is it that i would need to do after buying the headlamps. And what is the difference between the pre lci xenon headlamp and the lci. As far as i can see it is just the newer indicator lens or is there more to it apart from looks as the shape is the same etc? Just need to know if the only difference is the newer indicator then it may be more feasible for me to simply open my current units, retro fit bi xenon projectors, and remove the frosted indicator and paint it etc. Or alternatively buy the newer halogen lci headlights and convert them to bi xenon if i don't want to mess around making the pre lci headlight look nice. This of course would only be worthwhile depending on how much option 1 and 2 cost as if there isn't much additional cost after buying the headlamps it may be better to go for that Any advice appreciated thanks |

if you have pre lci's, go lci xenon. there are plenty threads on this.
Ultimately, you will need the headlights, and ballasts. It is going to cost a bit. I would contact reputable shop that could retrofit and code them for you, unless you want to find a diy on here and follow that. |
Appreciate
