Rattle from rear seats???

As the weather now gets colder, it means that I am now experiencing a rattle due to the cold car in the morning.

I thought it might have been coming from the seats and last year I put some soft Velcro around where the rear seats clip into place. This has done nothing.

Its a vibration rattle that comes when it cold and on bumpy surfaces. Doesn't sound plastic but more a metal rattle. Any ideas???

Thanks!

Found one on mine recently which was the little slider conpartment in between the seats (e92). Removed and silicone greased rails which it slides on. Completely silent now.

Had a similar rattle, turned out to be the unit inside the high level brake light on the rear screen had worked loose...

Great I'll be taking apart the entire rear of the car at this rate. Does that involving removing the roof lining?

No. Just gently prise off the cover and you have full access to the light unit.

@davyk31 you open the slider and grip your fingers underneath the front lip and pull upwards and then it pulls up and away from the back seats.

It could also be the plastic trim that runs around the base of the back window where the rear parcel shelf runs to... Mine makes a creaking sound depending on the temperature.

I have a rattle/humming when accelerrating softly from low speed. It only happens when the seats are up so like you though it must be where they clip in. These cars do seem to be pretty bad for rattles to be honest.
