Vibration While Parked Or At A Light

Hey all,

I have an 07 328i coupe, my car recently started to vibrate when I a RED Light or put it in park. When I drive I don't get that vibration. What could this be?

It can be a number of factors, most common is sign of coil packgoing bad or need vanos solenoid cleaned/replaced.

Long red light? to save gas if sitting, it will go to lowest rpm for better mpg , mine vibrates too. Indy guesses engine mounts but it doesn't do it in neutral right?, I was gonna get idle raise a little so it doesn't do it. Anyone else input ?

Coil/coils, Plugs, Vanos, bad gas. Could be all sorts. How many miles

I have 97k miles. Do I need to change the spark plugs along with coils?

You dont NEED too, BUT Might as well while since your in there and if there original plugs. On my old e90 I changed both at 90k as preventative cause I knew the coils would start going out 1 by 1. So i just replaced all 6 coils and did all 6 plugs. I never had any vanos problems or rough idle issues. Remember to use good quality 93 gas too.

I have the same problem with my car(09 e92 n51 w/57xxx miles) but I do notice that once the car is warmed up the vibrations go away.i noticed the shaking the day after buying the car and it hasn't caused any problem over the past year of ownership.

Mine does it as well. 06 330 six speed with 85,000. At at stop light with the RPM dropping to 600. I changed the engine mounts last weeked which helped some but not completely. Suspisions are CCV and/or worn coils. The mounts are the 335is onces which are supposedly HD, so not sure if they naturally will transfer some vibration..

My mechanic said engine mount but I hear walnut blasting helps it might wanna check that
