Bluetooth coding

Hi everyone!

I own 2006 E90 with a FRM1 module... I also have bluetooth module for connecting cellphone with the car... Beside all that I have voice control which is in german and I want to change it to english... As far as I've read I should change some parameters in MULF module, but I don't have this module listed in NCS despite that I have bluetooth functionality... It is probably named something else in my car... Does anyone know?

This are the modules available to code through ncs:
62DMO
ABG
ACC
BDSC
CAPPL
CAS
CAUDI
CGATE
CHOST
CTUNE
DWAI
DWAS
EKP
FRM
FZD
IHK
JBBF
KOMBI
LDM
LSMC
PDC
PGS
RLS
RSMC
TCUM
TGBT
TGFT
VGSG

No way to do it without ICOM and Ista. I had the same issue some time ago, my voice
Input worked only in German language, when I tried to change it to English then a voice commands dissapeared.
To do it you need to remove $851 and add $853 to your VOs, then you need to reprogram your CCC units, the best way to do it is using an ICom and Ista-p, becuase ista will save your voice input FSC code during programming. If you will flash it using Winkfp then your fsc will be removed and you will need to import it again.

Ok, what I wished for is simple coding, but what xelion is saying it's more complicated than I thought it would be... So just changing the VO through ncs won't be enough?

I've coded this using dcan on a 2012 328i. Change the vo in cas and frm then run sg_reset on all CCC modules.

Yes, but you say about CIC, not CCC.

It is not possible for pre-LCI cars with CCC. The only way to change voice input is programming.

Won't be enough, and they say about newer cars with CIC unit. Trust me, it is more complicated, but still doable.

Oh gotcha. I know that voice control retrofit requires fsc code but I didn't know that applied to Bluetooth as well

Ohhh, so it looks like I won't be doing this... I'll ask a professional to do it.
