Iphone With Built In Ipod Connection

is the iphone compatable with the built in...original ipod connection...like can you play music off of it if u plug it in...or charge it?

im getting an e92 this week and im considerning making the switch to the iPhone...especially becuase it works well with the BMW bluetooth...

i have the samsung blackjack...and from what ive heard...it doesnt work

I have an iphone i just plug it into the AUX input in the armest and play it through the Iphone and it sounds great. U have to mess with the EQ settings on the IPhone to make it sounds crisp and nice.

You can also get a cable from BMW that allows you to connect it to usb and aux at the same time ...
