So having experienced the rough idle start and engine check light coming on and then having to clear codes etc around 3/4 times in the space of 2 months, I had the VANOS inlets cleaned around 2 weeks and the car was all fine up until this morning when I experienced the same issues, after restarting the car a couple of times the engine went back to a normal idle and just left the yellow engine management light on, is it time to change a coil or swap them across?? Has anybody else found a complete fix to this annoying issue??

PS car was serviced a few months ago and engine has always ran fine other than this issue.

You really need to get the codes read; but must likely fuel injectors, coil packs or 02 sensors.

Codes spitting out VANOS inlet error and Camshaft error, looks like 2 new VANOS solenoids are needed, any ideas where I can buy, other than BMW stealers.
