replacing E90 side airbag?

Hi

how difficult is to replace a front seat's side airbag in an E90 sport?

Any tips / DIY??

what would happend if i just sealed it up, would any sensors go off is there any way to turn them off without replacing it or is ther no other way but to replace it?

What happened? Did your car get in an accident?

I know that you can't just stuff it back into here it came out of, the SRS light will stay on.

I would take it to a shop to have it replaced by a professional because god for bid you need the air bag, you want it to work.

i know i bought the interior with the front paasneger side airbag already deployed as it came out of an accident damaged E90!

still looking for tips for a DIY on this!!?

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a DIY way of fixing this.

NO way to repair an ALREADY deployed AIRBAG. You need a replace:

There is a way to fool the AIRBAR module but I would HIGHLY recommend to buy a new one or used but still NOT deployed. The change may be a little pricey(by the stealer), but if you follow the service procedure described in the TIS service manual you could probably DIY.
***Always disconnect the battery while dealing with AIRBAGs!***

Run a resistor across the connector. I wouldn't advise this though.
