I just have to throw this out there since I've read some things in this thread that make me cringe.......
If your engine is running badly, has an SES light, and seems like it is dumping raw fuel out the exhaust -- don't continue to drive the car. Call a flatbed to tow you home or to a shop to get it fixed. These injectors can cause some serious damage or even be dangerous when they fail. Engine fires, melted cats or even a bent connecting rod are all things that can happen when these injectors fail. I've seen most of this stuff happen personally (minus the fire), and it's no joke. In fact, we have an N63 car in the shop right now that was driven in with heavy misfiring caused by injector failure (same injectors as an N54). After getting some new injectors, the engine was started and ended up having a nasty rod-knock type sound. Long story short, it turned out one of the connecting rods was "S" shaped and about a quarter inch shorter than the rest. Cylinder wall has some nice scoring on it as well. Might need a new engine at this point. Anyway, just be careful out there.
