e92 pre-lci drivers trunk tail not working
As title states, my drivers side trunk tail light isn't working. Checked the bulb by putting it in on the other side and it worked, then plugged the left tail assembly into the right tail connector and the bulb lit up. Then tried the right tail assembly into the left tail connector and it wouldn't light up.
Does that mean the connector is bad? Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? -Marc |

There's only about 50 threads already about this...
The tailight connector module is bad - when you order new ones, you will automatically get the updated part. My DS went bad on my 09' just like yours - took it to the dealer, asked about the TSB for this problem, they stated it was only for 1 series cars & wouldn't replace it under warranty  So I bought (2) new connector modules from Tischer & never had the problem again. One way to kill (2) birds with 1 stone - buy the LCI LED tailight conversion for your car - they don't have the connector modules and they look 150% better

I'm having a similar problem. Do you have a picture or part number for the connector modules?
