More Overheating at the track for the 335i
See http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...d.php?t=104598
Note the comments on the overheating and how the temps were relatively cool. You guys might want to ping him on his observations. Please avoid M5 vs. 335i or 335i vs. X discussions as they will not iluminate anything more to the overheating issues.

I spent an afternoon going at 9/10ths at Autobahn with their 335i's. 20 min sessions. 3 min breaks. Total of 4 sessions. Temp with oil cooler and auto tranny was 300F. With heat and defrost blaring. Any chance this is mainly an auto issue? The gentleman reporting this on the M5 board must have went through the exact same type of session I went through with the 335i.

80 degree ambient, auto, retrofit, easy to hit 290+ after 20 minutes of going hard.

maybe a sprayer
or the second oil cooler (or was that walked u) AA has oil coolers w/ all their superchargers, dont know why they dont develop one for the 335 as a bolt on, would be easy enough to tap into the lines right next to the filter |

Its easier to keep constant power on the auto, feels like boost is never lost if you try hard enough.
