do not buy from westdrive used car garage braintree

Just a quick warning. A friend of mine bought a 335i cab from westdrive used car garage braintree not long ago. When he got it home it had custard all round the oil filler cap. He checked the water and it was all gone. He topped it up cleaned the custard off and resumed to drive it knowing therw could be a fault. Within 100 miles the watwr was gone again and thier was a huge build up of emulsification again. He informed westdrive, they said it was normal for a 335i. Obviously he knew different.

Eventually they took the car back and "ran some tests". All test came back negative and thier super mechanic suggested it was condensation!

The water just kept dissapearing and the oil level was getting higher. He eventually yraded it at bmw at a huge loss as he warned them of the issue. Shortly after giving it to them he got a call to say the engine failed and the bottom end was knocking. Bmw then repaired it and sold it on.

Long story short westdrive braintree either knew what was going on and didnt want to help. Or they are so shit they didnt know. Either way its not good. So whether you are thinking of buying a bmw or any other car for that matter from there. Steer clear and keep looking.

Why didn't he take action against the garage rather than trading it in for a loss?

Thank you for naming and shaming this garage. It should be done more often and if it saves one person from a similar fate it will be worth it.
