Q U E S T I O N
Anyone know how many days the car will go into production after I get the production number? I checked the Owner Circle and the stats is on order. I ordered the car last Saturday. I will call my CA tomorrow but can someone help me? I would really like to know. Thanks.

It varies, and there is no sure way to be accurate. OC tends to be fairly accurate most of the time. |

Sept. 22 - I ordered the car in the morning and was given the production number before I left the dealer (I was there about 45 minutes, total). Sept. 25 - OC indicated the car was "scheduled for production". Sept. 29 - Vehicle Production Status (VPS; 1-800-831-1117) declared the car was "in the body shop". Oct. 1 - VPS stated the car was built and "released to a carrier for transit to an exit port". Oct. 5 - VPS indicated the car is "in transit to an exit port". Seemed pretty quick to me, but I haven't ordered a car from the factory since the late '70's and nowadays this sort of timing may be typical, for all I know.
