New E90 320d Exclusive Edition

In July Last year, driven by a need for 4 doors and a desire to cut down fuel bills I changed my 2009 E92 325 SE for a low mileage 2010 E91 M Sport 318d. Although I couldn’t fault the fuel consumption or the handling I felt the 318d unit to be a little gruff and underpowered (just my opinion of course)

As a result I’ve raided the piggy bank and bought a new E90 320d Exclusive Edition in space grey with oyster/black dakota leather; I did toy with adding M Sport suspension but in the end opted for comfort, hence the SE spec with 17 inch rims.

Having exhausted the wife’s patience and with plans for us to semi retire next year it was important that I chose the right car, it’s just a pity I didn’t get it right first time, still you live and learn. First impressions are great and although there is evidence of one or two minor cost cutting exercises over previous models the power increase together with the overall look and feel of the car is just what I wanted.

Additional Equipment over Exclusive Edition Package:
  • 17" light alloy V-spoke style 285
  • Media Package - BMW Professional ZP3
  • Visibility Package ZV3
  • Model designation deletion 320
  • Split-folding rear seats 465
  • Sport seats, front 481
  • Seat heating, front 494
  • Cruise control 540
  • 12v power sockets 575

A few pictures of the new new pride and joy before putting the 158 winter wheels on.

With the winter 158s fitted

It looks really nice. I've just been looking at a touring version of the same car for the missus, same colours & wheels, and am really taken by it. Those SE wheels are gorgeous and really make the car. Still amazes me you have to spec folding rear seats in these cars but what a useful option .

‘Master Gunner’, well done in your change of avatar.
A graphic of a fallen Guardsman whether in jest or not, cannot be anything other than sick, bearing in mind the Brigade of Guards magnificent contribution, not only currently in Afganistan, but in the past in the defence of this country.
For ‘Mega’ to say:- ‘I preferred the old one’, we can only draw our own conclusions.

Yawn.

It's a shame you can't buy a sense of humour, but even if you could I guess you'd see it as non essential luxury and not worth the extra 2.5%

What are you going to plug into the 12V sockets?

The tourer had one in the boot which I used quite often for the tyre inflator and for the coolbox so for the sake of £50.00 I thought I would just spec the same. The one in the footwell will probably never be used and the ones at the back of the centre console 'might' come in handy when I have the Grandchildren at weekends should they need to plug their DVD players in.

I am now the proud owner of the OP's car above.

The condition is still almost as new. Stunning car with great options.

A credit to its former owner - Master Gunner. Thanks.

Looks like you got yourself a really nice specced car there then! What was it replaced with by the OP?
