Please Help, Walbro e85 pump install

Hey guys, Just did the LPFP Upgrade, as we all know there are quite a few great DIY with pics, I have run into an issue and cant figure it out maybe someone has some insight:
I did the complete LPFP install as needed used all ethanol safe components line, sealed the electrical connections ect. Buttoned the install up but left the last cover off, plugged in the two plugs though, so that way i could hear and or feel if the pump was working, Connected the power back up and tried to start. Upon first cranking it was hesitant to start, as if it had e85 and it was really cold out with my worn out factory LPFP, then it started ran for about 3-4 seconds and died, it would not start after that. I could feel the pump running and hear it so i figured a line had come off, so i pulled the wonderful ring back off and pulled the LPFP all connections are great hoses are not going anywhere ect, put it all back together and nothing still....... So far i have made sure the Electrical the red is to the red and the orange to the negative on the pump the hoses are installed exactly as they should with the tee, i secured all parts removed with zip ties. As i Mentioned before I can feel the pump running but the car will not start. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was in the process of doing exactly that, I think it was the siphon tube, I remove it and seems to be working just fine now, I will get it back in and give it a try. Thanks!

I just got the last parts to make my fuel line quick connect compatible with pump upgrade.
You feel little unsecure when stuffing the pump back inside the tank...

Im waiting on new injectors , once those arrive I will also try to fire up again and see if I messed up something.

Curious to what your issues was.

Instead of using a tee just after the outlet of the pump to connect the siphon tube down, you pipe the pump straight to the red fuel feed with the Bundy fitting. no tee, no siphon tube, just the pump and filter installed into the factory bucket, piped straight to the red fuel line, connect the wires, make sure the float is moving free and clear and your done. put the remaining hoses back on and bolt it up! be sure that when re-installing the assembly into the tank that you do not mess up the o-ring that seals the cap and that your wires and hose are not anywhere near the float or the fuel gauge will not work properly. hope this helps, feel free to P.M. me if you run into troubles.

Thanks for clearing up that for me. I pretty much tried to make my bucket bombproof when reinstalling parts. I did use a T a 8 for straight through and 6 on the one going to siphon.
Drilled small holes to ziptie the siphon to the bucket.
I will try my setup first , if any issues , straight to your sollution.

I don't recommend his "solution", as removing the siphon "MAY" prevent the bucket from filling up. In other words, the siphon help to keep the bucket full.

In my case this was pumping into the bucket instead of to the engine, Also when you remove those components properly you will have plenty of fuel in the bucket from the holes. This my not be the solution to everyone's issue, but it worked great for me and it came from someone who has done this a time or two. Just drove the car from Nashville to Chicago and back sunday night- today. Lots of time for e-85/meth +WOT= no issues whatsoever. no big deal just an alternative if you run into this issue.

When Terry first started testing this pump, he didn't use the siphon. Then another person mentioned the siphon and terry modified the setup to use the siphon, for safety reasons. Even though he did some test running the car to almost empty tank and never got fuel starvation (according to him).

Almost everyone is using the siphon, I don't see how you may be the only one that it didn't work.

I guess one will never know! until it stops working its staying right where it is. or until something better is available.
