.
Today the temperature is hovering around the 7 degree mark in the NW, & when I went up into the pennines at lunchtime it was 3 degrees, so changing to the winter's this weekend looks a bit of a no brainer. Looking at the forecast for Monday though, temperature is predicted to be about 13 with the rest of the week at about 11 - decisions decisions

I’ve driven my e90 through two winters now with winter tyres and I’ve never had a problem. I was able to drive over the black mountains through a few inches of snow. As long as you drive the car properly and use the correct setting in the car you’ll be fine. It’s best to use winter tyres because they work much better at lower temperatures than normal tyres.
I personally think if it’s bad enough that you need to use snow socks then you should leave the car at home. And blag a lift of someone that has a 4x4 |
