spec clutch

can anyone who has installed spec 2+(sac) tell me if the pressure plate came with a locking clip or did you have to use a special tool to apply the pressure to the ring for the install . mine does not have one just want to make sure that was the case with everyone else don't want to find out the hard way I have the wrong part.

says in Bentley they have the lock ring or you are supposed to use a special tool for the basket now I understand tightening them down one turn at a time will work but is this the correct way to do the job.
