how bad is it to remove the brake dust shields!

I am about to rip these Damn shield off, they somehow get bent and then my rotor hits then causing noise and vibration...I bend then back and they go right back a week later.

I am sure these help reduce heat to suspension components but can't see these being that important, BBK don't have them so why can't we remove these? They are easy to remove so would like some opinions.

Why do they keep bending? I'd be wanting to find that out first...

End of my control arm catches then and pulls then in sometimes... hate them.

I am thinking I of removing the dust shields myself next time I work on the brakes. Same damn annoyances and they actually obstruct airflow to the disks.

The negatives are that the disks will start accumulating dirt and rust near the hub and they can get rust-welded in.

I've pulled them off of other cars when upgrading the brakes and have never had issues. They were daily driven too. My FX doesn't even have them in front, just the rear. If they were that important, I don't think they'd be left off by manufacturer.

Took them off and the small vibration I had is gone!

Dealt with this today. Pulling in to my office I hear what sounds like my exhaust had fallen off and was dragging under the car. Turned out the damn dust shield sandwiched some rocks between the rotor
