Curb rash and chrome

Finally happened, after never scratching my wheels, it finally happened. Its only on the rear right lip and its barely there, but it still bothers me. Looks like since its chrome.....im going to have to get a whole new lip right? Theres no way to sand or polish chrome since its a plating, correct?

Sucks man, yeah chrome cannot be polished out, like a high polished lip can be. Your going to need to replace the whole lip. Was your wheels 2pc or 3pc though?

Bro I don't think the iForged Essens have a chrome lip unless you special ordered it...

they have a very high polished lip that looks like chrome! I gave you the contact info for Son Tran. Give him a call and I bet he'll do something for you, he's a nice guy.

Im sure boost knows if he ordered chrome or polished rims. I have chrome lipped Essens

Boost called Vince at iforged and see how much to get the lip replaced. Im sure it will take them forever! Id be curious to know how much this costs.

I believe the Miro Hamann Reps have a stainless steel machined lip. I used to have that on my Ruff Racing wheels (looks polished) and those wheels are easier to repair curb rash on...

I'm not 100% sure about chrome, but I'm pretty sure he can repair that. Give Son Tran a call!!

I have stainless lip on my Rays ITC
got some dents/ curb rashs few days ago.
However,the shop I went told me that my stainless lip can't be fixed

I don't know if they told me the truth or they just not have enough skill to perform the repair.

i've had curb rash VERY EASILY repaired on my old iforged wheels that had polished lips. And I have new iForged wheels with chrome lips, and i know how chrome works and that its obviously not polishable. I was just wondering how its fixed since people claim that it can be fixed, i thought it would just have to be replaced since chrome is a plating, not a raw metal.
